NTSA Honors ‘Elite Eight’ with Inaugural Advisor Award

The National Tax-deferred Savings Association (NTSA) recognized eight 403(b) plan advisors as recipients of the inaugural “NTSA Elite Advisors Award” at the annual NTSA 403(b) Summit June 22. The award recognizes plan advisors who have done the most to help individual plan participants accumulate assets for retirement.

“Teachers, government workers and public employees are much more likely to save for retirement if they have access to a retirement plan through their employer,” said NTSA Executive Director Chris DeGrassi. “And when those employees also have a knowledgeable and skilled retirement plan advisor working on their behalf, it directly impacts their ability to accumulate assets for a successful retirement. Each recipient of this year’s NTSA Elite Advisors Award has demonstrated an ability to go above and beyond for their clients.”

The eight retirement plan advisors honored as an NTSA Elite Advisor are:

  • S. Bruce Allen, Old Dominion Insurance and Investments, Winchester, Va.
  • Randy Aranowitz, Kades-Margolis Corporation, Wayne, Pa.
  • Charles “Sonny” Detillier, Sonny Detillier Agency, Lutcher, La.
  • Richard Dobson, American Financial Management, Ltd., Cedar Falls, Iowa
  • Frank Owen, F.R. Owen and Associates, Charlotte, N.C.
  • Bruce Smith, CalPro Network, San Diego, Calif.
  • Jeffrey J. Smith, Lincoln Investment Planning, Inc., Lombard, Ill.
  • Jill Snyder, National Insurance Services, Brookfield, Wis.

The NTSA Elite Advisor Award is an annual member recognition program that has been established to honor retirement plan advisors who have helped shape best practices in serving clients in the 403(b) and/or 457 retirement plan industry, as well as to acknowledge the advisor’s specific accomplishments and/or industry contributions.
