The Final DOL Fiduciary Regulation: What’s New and What Does it Mean?

The long-awaited and controversial final DOL regulation redefining an investment advice fiduciary is out. This regulation will significantly affect how advisors work with plan sponsors, plan participants and IRA owners. NTSA will be holding a complimentary webcast to help 403(b) advisors understand what it means and how they will be affected.

In “The Final DOL Fiduciary Regulation: What’s New and What Does It Mean for 403(b) Advisors,” an NTSA webcast that will be held from 2:00-3:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, April 13, Past NTSA President Sue Diehl of PenServ Plan Services, and NTSA Executive Director Chris DeGrassi will outline what’s in the new rule and what it means for advisors and their clients.

This webcast will:

  • explain what constitutes investment advice under the final regulation;
  • analyze the changes that were made from the original proposal;
  • discuss how IRAs and rollovers are affected; and
  • describe the revised best interest contract exemption.
